My favorite reads are:
- The Hunger Games Trilogy
- The Vampire Academy series
- The Mortal Instruments series
I love to read. Variety is very important to me but I wasn’t finding a lot of YA Paranormal books with diverse characters. Hence my inspiration, writing a YA Paranormal series with diverse young women who are empowered, intelligent and could care less about what society says they should be, think or act.
Did you know you wanted to be an author when you were little?
Absolutely, I knew that I wanted to be an author from the first short story I wrote in junior high. I turned a ‘what I did over the summer’ assignment into an over the top drama filled story. Yes, I was a drama queen even back then ;-)
People who talk during Movies and drivers who don't indicate properly.
Chocolate or Peanut Butter?
Definitely both. Reese's butter cups anyone?
Is there a soundtrack to the book/Favorite music?
Music is a big inspiration for me. Here’s a list of songs that kept me rocking throughout the writing and editing process for “Blood Oath”
“Empire State of Mind” (feat. Alicia Keys)
“Pretty Girl Rock”
“What the Hell”
“Moment 4 Life”
“Till the World Ends”
“Crazy in Love”
“Calling All the Monsters”
China Anne McClain
“If I Have My Way”
“I’m With You”
“Give Me Everything”
“All of the Lights”
“Rolling in the Deep”
Do you need anything to write? (ex. chocolate, music, slippers) :)
I’m a New York girl; I need the chaos of background noise to function ;-). When writing my definite must haves are the following: the television on low, music on blast and bottles of ice-cold sparkling water at the ready.
How long do you write on any average day?
On average four hours if I have an idea or concept buzzing around in my head.
Give us the number one reason to read your book.
It’s a clean YA paranormal read with diverse characters. Blood Oath (A Gabby Girls Adventure Novel, Book #2) – The battle against pure evil begins. Friendships are betrayed. Rivals bond…and powers collide.
